Will asked me today when I was going to get my book written. In light of Ralph’s job troubles, it would be nice if we had another source of income, he said, so that Dad can retire without so much worry.
I said that it is not likely that I would make that much money from writing. Then I asked, “Should I write it as straight memoir or fictionalize it?” He said that Patty would like the second option. So I guess I’d better get working on the book.
He also said that Ralph should start working on his Arkansas stories, because he would like those stories to be written down. “Even if he never publishes them, I would like them for me.”
My hardest thing about writing is getting the laptop started.
I’m very busy too.In the Maranatha Writers’ Conference, 2010, Jerry Jenkins told how Billy Graham had open bibles in several spots in his home. I figured just now, maybe we could have open pads to write on in several spots ,jotting ideas or story starters as we pass by. I have the notepads and I found space for a bible in each room. I think I’ll put a notepad and pen on each Bible…for writing and for thoughts God gave. Thank you for your dilemma. It may answer mine too. You might come up with ideas which improve on this one of mine. I am no longer going to say God Bless. I’m going to be more specific and ask Jesus to bless your time and effort. Love, Patti Schieringa
That is so kind, Patty. Thank you for your blessing. I think it would be a good idea to have some notebooks at various places, like the car, and various places around the house.
don’t you love how to some they think writing our blogs is so easy peasy..=^_^= I did a Xmas story one year, had the greatest time doing it, not long a short story about the dogs… cuz it was for family and friends, it was great fun, but it didn’t happen over night… reaction was so funny, everyone had the next three “books” planned out for me before the New Year. Keep trucking girl,.. I enjoy your reads.
Thank you for your encouragement and kind comments. This particular book has been sitting on the back burner for a long time. It’s time to get started on it.
