Character versus testing

After my older daughter graduated from high school, she was sent for neuropsych testing by Michigan Rehab Services to see if she could go to college, which was our hopeful plan. The neuropsychologist said that she was impaired to the extent that she might pass some lower level courses, but she would not be able to handle higher level coursework. But even if she passed those courses, she would not be able to get a job or talk with clients. It was very discouraging. But my younger daughter said, “Mom, they can’t test character.” So we enrolled my older daughter at GRCC. I have not shared the results of this day long test with my older daughter.
