After a couple of trips back to the garage that sold the car to him, Will’s car is working. He has another job through Goodwill in a warehouse for eight weeks or so. He has been driving himself back and forth to work for two weeks. This week he drove himself to an interview for an IT position. This has boosted his confidence and taken a responsibility from our shoulders.
Our long effort in the same direction has been for our kids to have as much independence as possible, to have a measure of happiness, and to be able to support themselves. That is one reason that we have pushed them to go to college. Possibly the college degrees will help them get some sort of job. It has certainly gotten them interviews, but no jobs yet.
